Alpine had the opportunity to meet our local Sheriff’s Department at The Night out Against Crime. This event was at the Alpine Sheriff substation on Alpine Boulevard, on Tuesday August 4, beginning at 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Alpine had the opportunity to meet our local Sheriff’s Department at The Night out Against Crime. This event was at the Alpine Sheriff substation on Alpine Boulevard, on Tuesday August 4, beginning at 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Night Out Against Crime is a celebration of community relationships, and Alpine’s opportunity to meet and greet the deputies that patrol Alpine neighborhoods. Community members can learn about he many services that the Sheriff Department provides, obtain crime prevention and safety tips, and know the people who are there to help in a crisis.
The displays included, Sheriff’s Crime Prevention, Sheriff’s Senior Volunteer Patrol, Sheriff’s Search and Rescue K-9 Unit, Sheriff’s Bomb/Arson Unit, Sheriff’s Crime Lab, and Alpine Sheriff’s Substation tours. Also the Alpine Fire Protection District and the CHP were on site, meeting and greeting people.
The Alpine Kiwanis provided complimentary food and the Sheriff had free giveaways for all who attended.
