Pine Valley, CA – Mountain Empire High School (MEHS) appointed Patrick Keeley as their new principal after a competitive search that included input from parents, teachers, students and district administrators.

Pine Valley, CA – Mountain Empire High School (MEHS) appointed Patrick Keeley as their new principal after a competitive search that included input from parents, teachers, students and district administrators.
Keeley is highly qualified for his new role with over eighteen years of experience in education. He has a bachelor’s degree in social science from CSU San Marcos and a master’s in educational leadership from San Diego State University. In addition, Keeley has worked as a basketball coach, history teacher, and an administrator for both large and small schools.
Keeley is proud to be one of the many successful Mountain Empire alumni having been raised in the community in which he now serves. Excited to return, he commented on how much he values the opportunity “to give back to the community and be able to work in the school that had so much influence on my life.”
Mountain Empire High School continues to strive toward encouraging students to be future focused and in providing a safe and academically challenging environment that meets the needs of each individual. In a continued effort to meet these goals Keeley said, “one of my strengths is being able to connect with students and I think it is because of my teachers and growing up here.”
