Gratitude and support

Former El Cajon police officer Jarred Slocum hugs Alma Sprecco during a fundraiser to benefit the former police officer, who retired after being shot in a gun battle last year. The event, held last Friday, was co-sponsored by the El Cajon Police Officer’s Association and El Cajon Elks Lodge 1812. Slocum medically retired, and his family will receive all the money raised to help cover medical expenses.
