Miracle Mile of Quarters shows big in Carpet of Coins

 

This year, 73 teams competed in the annual Miracle Mile of quarters with the creative and ever popular “quarter art”.   There were about 320 students and 200 adults who attended the event, raising approximately $ 24,000 of quarters on the carpet for the ever creative quarter art.
Awards were given in Open class, K-Kids, Builders club. KEY club and Circle K classes.

. . .and special thanks to the Inland Empire Aktion Club for being our FIRST Aktion club to compete!!!

Hospital tours – three tours of 20 people were given by Rady's Children Hospital Foundation personnel, they served about 360 breakfasts – The Poway club (D37) were the cooks with about 200 people attending the bench dedication in honor of Oscar Knight.  This event raised around $ 750 from the Toll Booth in front of the hospital.



The Total funds that were raised for the event are totaling around  $35,000  (but the figures are still in counting) ($24000 in quarters and the rest in cash/checks)



50 volunteers came together to work the event to make it possible.
