Thought for the Week: Creative acts

There is an invisible golden thread of Love and light that is woven through each of us. We are here to bring our own unique gifts and talents into the very fabric of Life. We are here to discover, develop and share our talents, not only for our own personal satisfaction, but to uplift and inspire those with whom we journey on this planet called earth in this particular time and space. As we become aware and attuned to developing and sharing our divine energy, synchronistic events spring forth as cheerleaders to coach and guide us to higher levels of self expression.

What does your Higher Self wish to express in this playground of Life? Be willing to ask – “What is the Spirit’s highest vision for my life?” Then sit and wait patiently. You know the definition of patience is being at peace with the process of life. Being open and available to what your Higher Self wants to bring forth will set you on a course of self discovery without limits. Joyous expectation is a critical element as you reach for the stars of your future. Recognize that the seed of inspiration needs tender care. It must be fed with the proper nutriments of active listening to the still small voice within and then taking perhaps just one first small step in the direction of Its calling.

I believe we have been given this physical embodiment experience to be the hands and feet, be the voice, ears and eyes of the Divine. We are made of infinite creative matter and as such we are to release and share our creativity. Albert Einstein said: “It can easily be seen that all the valuable achievements, material and spiritual, which we receive from society have been brought about in the course of countless generations by creative individual. Without creative personalities able to think and judge independently, the upward development is as unthinkable as the development of the individual personality without the nourishing soil of the community.”

Dare to be you own unique Self, to think and judge independently from the norm. Go within and ask. Seek and you will find. Knock and the door will be opened. Michael Bernard Beckwith in Spiritual Liberation provides the following affirmation. Say with me: “I attune myself to the creative impulse that indwells and seeks expression through me. I live to express my essential creativeness by performing every act mindfully, with the attentiveness of the artist that I am. My life is my canvas, and I cover it in acts of beauty, kindness, generosity, and authentic self-expression. And it is so.”
