San Diego Gas & Electric is hosting a series of webinars for anyone interested in learning more about public safety power shutoffs, safety during a power-shutoff event and how to be prepared for the threat of wildfire.
With fire season around the corner, these webinars are intended to share what SDG&E is doing with wildfire mitigation to help keep our communities safe and provide tips on how the public can prepare in advance.
SDG&E subject matter experts will consist of emergency management, wildfire resilience and operations, vegetation management, and meteorology to talk about public safety power shutoffs, community resource centers, fuels reduction programs and other infrastructure and program enhancements to help reduce the public safety power shutoff impacts to customers.
Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions of SDG&E’s experts during and after the event.
Upcoming webinars are Tuesday, June 30, 5 to 6:15 p.m., and Thursday, July 2, 5 to 6:15 p.m.
