SDG&E encourages public to participate in webinars

San Diego Gas & Electric is hosting a series of webinars for anyone interested in learn­ing more about public safety power shutoffs, safety during a power-shutoff event and how to be prepared for the threat of wildfire.

With fire season around the corner, these webinars are in­tended to share what SDG&E is doing with wildfire mitiga­tion to help keep our commu­nities safe and provide tips on how the public can prepare in advance.

SDG&E subject matter experts will consist of emer­gency management, wildfire resilience and operations, veg­etation management, and me­teorology to talk about public safety power shutoffs, com­munity resource centers, fuels reduction programs and other infrastructure and program enhancements to help reduce the public safety power shutoff impacts to customers.

Participants will also have the opportunity to ask ques­tions of SDG&E’s experts dur­ing and after the event.

Upcoming webinars are Tuesday, June 30, 5 to 6:15 p.m., and Thursday, July 2, 5 to 6:15 p.m.
