The Alpine Club is adjusting its line dancing program following the departure of instructor Robin Smith, who brought the activity to the club.
Smith, whose classes were described by the club as energetic and community-driven, will now teach every Monday at the VFW in Alpine.
In an effort not to duplicate programs offered by other local organizations, the Alpine Club announced it will instead host monthly beginner classes. The sessions will be taught by Patricia Harrington on the second Wednesday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The club said Harrington’s class is designed for beginners or those who want to improve their skills at a comfortable pace.
“We’re so grateful for the joy she’s brought to our members,” the club said in a statement thanking Smith.
