Alpine’s Christmas light parade, snow fest nears

The glowing 23rd Annual Alpine Village Christmas Parade of Lights & Snow Festival is going to be bigger and better than ever on Friday, Dec. 7, in Alpine!

Shining holiday lights will decorate every entry in this hometown, award-winning parade that starts down Alpine Boulevard at West Victoria Drive at 6:30 p.m. Almost 100 entries, including decorated pets, children, floats and big trucks, have registered so far.

Presented every year by the Alpine Mountain Empire Chamber of Commerce, the parade ends at the free Snow Festival — with real snow and sledding— in the Alpine Creek Town Center at 1347 Tavern Road. Vendors, children’s activities and food for sale will be available.

“I want to invite everyone to come to the parade and snow festival,” said Chamber      Executive Director Alex Ward.

To register for the parade or vendors’ booths, call the Chamber at (619) 445-2722 or visit www.alpinechamber.com.
