Several years ago, our community came together at a gigantic fundraiser to help with the staggering medical bills that were accumulating. These funds helped to buy more time for treatments.  Now, the community is asked to come together one more time.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 11th from 5 till 8, at East County Mortuary. The funeral will be held at Queen of Angels Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on December 12, with burial following at 11:30 at the Alpine Cemetery. Shortly afterward, everyone is invited to the Alpine Community Center to visit and chat about Vincent's life.

There is a Higgins Family Charity Event set for Saturday, December 15th from Noon till 3pm at the Community Center.  A short flag football game is planned as well as a time for family and friends to come together to remember this young warrior.  Funds will be used to defray funeral expenses as well as the final hospital and medical bills.  Alpine residents are asked to provide what they can including but not limited to money, food, gift baskets and gift cards.  Everyone is welcome. There will be food and refreshments for all guests.

Rest in Peace Vinnie. Your pain is finally over and you left an indelible mark on all who knew you or knew of you.
