San Diego County Sheriff ’s detectives on Tuesday arrested a teacher at an East County private school in connection to allegations of child sexual abuse.
Authorities said Kevin G. Conover, 49, was taken into custody outside his place of employment at 2100 Greenfield Drive.
Conover is employed as a teacher at Christian Unified High School, according to the Sheriff’s department.
“On October 1, 2025, the San Diego County Sheriff ’s Office responded to a radio call regarding sexual abuse allegations of a minor by a family member.
“Detectives with the San Diego County Sheriff ’s Child Abuse Unit took over the investigation and conducted the follow-up.
“After completing their investigation, CAU Detectives had probable cause to believe (Conover) had committed oral copulation with a victim under 18, in violation of 269(a)(4) PC – Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child Under the Age of 14, three counts of 288(a) PC – Lewd and Lascivious Acts with a Child, one count of 288.5(PC) – Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child.”
On Tuesday night he was being held in San Diego Central jail without bail.
