The San Diego Humane Society is holding is 32nd annual Photo Fundraiser and is asking the public to submit their favorite pet photo, and then encourage others to vote for your pet’s photo through Aug. 31. The Photo Fundraiser supports San Diego Humane Society’s lifesaving services, including animal sheltering and adoptions, investigations of animal cruelty and neglect, veterinary care, and the rescue and rehabilitation of wildlife through its Project Wildlife program.

“This is a special opportunity for pet lovers to support animals in need while highlighting and showcasing their own beloved pets,” said San Diego Humane Society Executive Vice President Brian Daugherty in a press release. “We all think our pets are the cutest, and this friendly competition allows us to have some fun while ensuring that our organization can continue to be there for every single animal who comes through our doors.”

Your pet photos can save the lives of animals. With 1,950 animals in its care, including 814 dogs and 929 cats, now is an important time to raise at least $125,000 for shelter animals in need.
