Lions Tigers & Bears will welcome fall with its Spooky Campover and Pumpkin Bash on Oct. 24-25 at the Alpine exotic animal sanctuary. On Friday, Oct. 24, guests can pitch a tent, enjoy Halloween festivities and spend the night under the stars with rescued animals. The event continues Saturday, Oct. 25, with the Pumpkin Bash, where big cats and bears will enjoy festive pumpkin treats.
“This two-day event is one of our favorite fall traditions,” said Bobbi Brink, Founder and Director of Lions Tigers & Bears. “It is such a joy to see kids, families, and even our animals get into the Halloween spirit. Everyone is encouraged to dress up, bring their best pumpkin carving skills, and most importantly, have fun. But don’t wait to reserve your spot because space fills up fast.”
The campover will include campfire songs, pumpkin carving, a costume contest and a haunted house for all ages. There will also be an animal trivia challenge, s’mores by the fire and hot cocoa. Guests are asked to bring camping gear, food and beverages, pumpkins to carve, and a costume for the contest. The sanctuary will provide community grills.
A donation of $50 per adult and $35 per child is requested for members, or $80 per adult and $55 per child for non-members to attend the campover.
The Pumpkin Bash on Saturday morning invites guests to watch animals enjoy pumpkins filled with treats. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes and cheer as the animals play and eat.
A donation of $30 per adult and $15 per child is requested for members, or $60 per adult and $35 per child for non-members to attend the Pumpkin Bash.
Lions Tigers & Bears asks guests to bring an item from the sanctuary’s wishlist. A full list of most-needed items will be included in the confirmation email and can also be found on the Wishlist Page.
