Padre Dam to host career workshop for first-timers

Padre Dam Municipal Water District will host a free career workshop, “From Classroom to Ca­reer: Essentials for First-Time Job Seekers,” on Thursday, May 15 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at its Cus­tomer Service Center in Santee.

The event is open to the public, with a focus on entry-level professionals, students and those see­ing a career change and may be interested in the water industry. Attendees will hear from industry experts about opportunities in the water sector, receive resume reviews and learn interview tips.

“From customer service and engineering to fi­nance and park and recreation, there are incred­ible career opportunities in your own backyard,” said Kyle Swanson, Padre Dam CEO/General Manager. “Padre Dam offers a diverse range of jobs that offer competitive salaries, excellent ben­efits and the opportunity to make a difference in your community.”

Padre Dam serves more than 1000,000 resi­dents in East San Diego County, including San­tee, El Cajon, Lakeside, Flinn Springs, Harbi­son Canyon, Blossom Valley, Alpine, Dehesa and Crest. The public agency is governed by a five-member elected board.
