Thought for the Week: I abide in peace

“Praise and Thanksgiving” is this month’s theme with this Sunday’s message, “I Abide in Peace”. As the election process comes to completion, many are praising and giving thanks while others are far from that and are no way abiding in peace! As with anything in life, we do what we personally can toward reaching our goals and then the wise tact is to “let go and let God”.

Abiding in peace takes letting go of combative thoughts. Abiding in peace takes a willingness to free ourselves from negativity and feelings of doom and gloom. Abiding in peace is a simple as releasing the cares of the world and taking our attention within to the kingdom of God that renews, refreshes and makes all things new.

The consciousness of peace is available to all, when we open ourselves up to it. Peace is our natural state when we recognize Love is the substance and unifying element beneath, in and through all.

Peace is achieved when we reside in the love that is giving us life, when we bathe ourselves in Its healing glow. The master teacher, Jesus the Christ told us: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you.

Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” When our hearts are free from fear, we reside in the peace that passes understanding. Give yourself the gift of abiding in this everlasting peace that God has so freely given at each and every moment.

Say with me: “I breathe a deep breath releasing all fear and condemnation and consciously go within to be renewed and refreshed in Love’s healing embrace. Here I experience true and abiding peace and for this I am eternally grateful. And it is so.”
