Thought for the Week: Live and let live

February is “Love” month with the celebration of Valentine’s Day. This year I’d like to take a deeper view on Love by having the theme of “The Indwelling Divine Presence” and for this first Sunday we’re going to look at the idea of “Live and Let Live.” This whole notion spawns from the realization that the Divine Presence is within each and every being, in full force, everywhere present. And yet every manifested being of the Divine expresses itself in individual and unique ways.

Each of us is on our own path to express the Divine as we so choose. It makes it a lot easier, in my opinion, if we accept this truth by not heaping our standards and expectations on others. It also makes it easier of we become supple and gentle with ourselves first and foremost.

We have within us a power and strength that is infinite in nature. To access this power takes a willingness to tune in and be guided by the eternal offerings of Love that dwell within. I believe we all have this Divine urge to grow, reveal and eternally become and express more of our true nature. We do this in one way by shedding the hurts, past mistakes and disappointments of yesterday; by realizing that we all are doing the very best we can at each moment based on our level of awareness of the Divine.

This coming week remember to live and let live. Do your best to broaden your awareness of the eternal Love that is flowing through you and accept that for others. Be patient, kind and gracious with self and others. Ask for help if needed and then give from the fullness of your cup.

Say with me: “This day I am open to feeling the Love within me. This day I allow others to be and share their Divine self as they are so guided. I live the life I love and I grow in my love for life.”
