Thought for the Week: True success

As we peruse Wayne Dyers book, “Happiness is the Way” this month, this week we are looking at “True Success”. Success is unique and personal to each individual. A self-defeating person looks outside themselves for motivation and confirmation. They may value their reputation however a reputation is just other people’s opinions – which will vary from day to day. “No limit” individuals consult their own inner guidance in making life’s choices. These people are more concerned with their character, which comes from their thoughts and their love inside, rather than their reputation. Trying to “people please” is as futile as chasing your tail to achieve happiness and success.

Though there is something to be said and learned from people and circumstances that cause us the most upset. For these people and circumstances are bringing to light something within us that needs to be addressed. It’s what we don’t face that controls us. Saying no with love, dignity and respect helps us set boundaries and is the foundation for successful relationships.

You are what you believe about yourself so cultivate an appreciation for “what” you are – not for “who” you are; for you are not your name, your body, your occupation, your race or relationships. You are the silent observer behind your thoughts and feelings. You are an unlimited, infinite being placed here on earth at this particular moment in time to release the love that you are.

When you come from your true Self you have a deep sense of inner peace. Knowing you are more than enough to handle life’s challenges with integrity and confidence brings lasting and genuine success.

Say with me: “What I have is enough. As I tune into my own special uniqueness, I realize I have everything I need to enjoy total, complete peace, success and happiness right now and for this I am grateful.”
