As we wrap up visiting the teachings John Randolph Price presents in “Practical Spirituality” we come to the “12 Doors of Mastery”. This is the process by which the human consciousness evolves to experience its true nature of the divine. This isn’t something that is done lightly or without intention.
There is not enough space in this small column to go deeply into all of the 12 Doors of Mastery so I will simply name them here and highlight a few of them. They are: 1: The Birth of Truth. Just as the Christ Conscious was born into the world through the master teacher, and son of God, Jesus, we are to be born – or born again. Here we realize and recognize “I am not a human being, I am God Being.” 2: Escape from the Ego. 3: Understanding the Law. Here we connect the four aspects of being – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual through the use of these words: of, as, is. You know that your consciousness of God as the fulfillment of any desire is the fulfillment of that desire 4: Baptism. This is the cleansing process where we release resentment, fear, etc. so we are available to knowing there is only Love. 5: Temptations. 6: Transmutation. Here we are able to transmute a negative situation into a positive one. 7: Gathering of Powers which are: faith, strength, wisdom, love, will, authority, understanding, enthusiasm, imagination, order, forgiveness and life. 8: World service. 9: Transfiguration. 10: Crucifixion. 11: Resurrection. 12: Ascension.
The first eight doors are opened by us…the final four are opened by Spirit. How far we go to where Spirit takes over depends on our choice, our decision and our commitment. This work is not for the faint of heart. This work is for those who have a calling to live from their highest Self and bring It out into the world of form.
