All in the community are invited to join us on February 21, 2016 at the Alpine Woman’s Club for a Potluck Luncheon and an interesting program on the Model T Ford. The luncheon begins at 1:00pm and features some of the finest home cooking and prepared goodies that can be found in Alpine. Please bring a dish to share. About 1:45 pm we will have a brief business meeting and election of officers for 2016, then about 2:00 pm Chuck West and Janna Laughon, members of the San Diego Model T Ford Club, will provide an interesting program about the development and dominance of the Ford Model T. Chuck has been a member of the Model T club since 1986. He has served in many positions with the club including as president in 1991, and since 2000 he has edited the Ruckstell Review, the club’s monthly newsletter. Chuck’s niece, Janna, is currently the secretary of the Model T Club and together Chuck and Janna will answer all your questions about Model T’s. Which came first: the Model T or the Model A? Can you get it in any color other than black? Why are there three pedals on the floorboard? How fast will it go? And don’t forget to ask them about the brakes!
This FREE luncheon is presented as part of our Community Outreach and Education Program. Seating is limited, so please make your reservations early by calling Tom Myers at 619-885-8063 or send an email request to info@alpinehistory.org.  The Alpine Historical & Conservation Society is a non-profit 501c-3 charitable organization and your contributions are always welcome.
