SAN DIEGO, January 12, 2015 – Barons Market, a family-owned, all-natural grocery store, announces Bob Ring as the new manager of its Alpine location.
Ring, whose family has lived in Alpine since 1923, brings more than 45 years of grocery industry experience to the local market. As a current member of Alpine Kiwanis Club, a board member of the Alpine/Mountain Empire Chamber of Commerce and Alpine Community Center, former board member of the Alpine Education Foundation and former honorary mayor of Alpine, Ring has been an integral part of the community for decades.
Previously managing the Albertsons in Alpine, Ring sought a change that allowed him to stay in both the industry he’d mastered and his hometown.
“I’ve had a long and wonderful career at Albertsons, and now I’m ready to transition into working with a family-owned and operated natural food store,” says Ring. “The Alpine community feels fortunate to have more food options since Barons opened here a few months ago, and I’m proud to be part of that.”
With its fifth Southern California location, Barons has brought approximately 25 local jobs to the neighborhood, for which it prioritized hiring locally from Alpine. The store resides at 1347 Tavern Road in Alpine and supplies the community with simply good food at simply good prices.
