Youth Olympics provide a winning Chance

The Alpine Kiwanis Youth Olympics welcomed over 50 children who competed in twelve different activities.  Beginning at 8:30 a.m. children registered and received their bib and their Olympian pin.

The Alpine Kiwanis Youth Olympics welcomed over 50 children who competed in twelve different activities.  Beginning at 8:30 a.m. children registered and received their bib and their Olympian pin.
The competitions included the Basketball Dribble, the Soccer Ball Dribble, the Bicycle Gimkhana, the 20, 40 and 60 Meter Races, a Softball Throw, a Long Jump.  There were Pull-Ups and Chin-Ups, along with a Basketball Free Throw, Sit-ups and finally Rope Skipping. Each student who participated had a chance to compete in their selected age group and the winners received first, second and third place prizes. After the competitions, the children were able to attend the Amazing Dana’s magic show right before the medal presentation.
