CHAMBER CHATTER: Discover ‘Woman Warriors’ auction treasures, mixer fun

Deals were found at the recent Attic Treasures sale

Discover “Women Warriors” this Sunday, Feb. 17, in Alpine!

Presented by the Alpine Historical Society, author and performer Annette Hubbell will bring to life the amazing stories of ordinary women who changed themselves and helped others.

Find out what these “Women Warriors” had in common at 2 p.m. at the Alpine Woman’s Club in the historic former Alpine Town Hall at 2156 Alpine Blvd.

The changes brought about by such women as Harriet Beecher Stowe, novelist; Mary McLeod Bethune, political advisor to U.S. Presidents; and Sojourner Truth, freedom fighter; are inspiring.

Refreshments will be served. A $10 donation per person is requested.

Call (619) 885-8063 or e-mail infor@alpinehistory.org now to make reservations.
