Happy New Year! We’re excited to start the year at the library with a variety of programs for all ages. For adults and teens, join us on Jan. 17, from 2 – 3 p.m. for an enchanting afternoon with harpist Deirdre Sullivan. Deirdre is an accomplished performer on the Celtic harp who brings to life the rich traditions of Ireland, Scotland, France, Germany, Renaissance England, and early American music.
On Jan. 24, from 9 – 11 a.m., help make a difference in our community during the Watershed Warriors Community Cleanup. In partnership with I Love a Clean San Diego, we’ll work together to remove litter from local watersheds and prevent it from reaching the Pacific Ocean. For details and registration, visit sdcl.org/alpine.
On Tuesday, January 20, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., join us for Community Care Cards. This month, we’ll be creating cards to brighten the day for service members overseas. All supplies are provided by the library— just bring your creativity and kindness!
Then, on Saturday, January 24, at 10:30 a.m., bring your favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal for our Teddy Bears’ Picnic. Enjoy a teddy bear-themed story time and craft that little ones will love.
See you at the library!
