Alpine, California has been honored to receive the “Remembering Our Fallen” Memorial Photo Exhibit of the sacrifice made by 710 from California (77 from local area) who were killed in the War on Terror in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Alpine, California has been honored to receive the “Remembering Our Fallen” Memorial Photo Exhibit of the sacrifice made by 710 from California (77 from local area) who were killed in the War on Terror in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Produced by Patriotic Productions, the display includes military and personal photos of each of California’s Fallen. It has exhibited in 14 states and will continue to more. The display will be available February 23 to March 7, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.at the Alpine Community Center, Alpine CA, 1830 Alpine Blvd, Alpine 91901. There is no admission charge for the display.
The financial sponsor of the exhibit is Bellevue University, a private, non-profit University in Bellevue, Nebraska. Local sponsors include the Alpine Community Center, Mountain Empire Chamber of Commerce, The Basket Corner and Jackson Foster Heating & Air Conditioning.
“We can never forget those who sacrificed everything for our freedom,” said Dr. Mary Hawkins, President, Bellevue University. “This exhibit is created in such a way so it can travel throughout many states offering more people an opportunity to remember their Fallen.”
Everyone is invited for a special celebration on February 28, 9 a.m. at the Alpine Wall of Honor directly outside the Alpine Community Center.
After the arrival of the Patriot Guard Riders, a color guard will start the ceremony, followed by music and comments from Wall founder – Dan Foster. The fallen heroes from the War on Terror will be honored, along with the new heroes added this day to the Alpine Wall of Honor. On this day the display will be open to families and loved ones of the Fallen only, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Then it will open to the public at 9 a.m. Arrive early for easier parking.
