Thought for the Week: Evolved people

We welcome October in with a study of Michael Beckwith’s book, Spiritual Liberation. One of the first chapters is entitled Evolved People. Since we are all spiritual in nature, having a human experience, our core essence is perfect and divine, whole and complete. Just as an acorn already has within it everything it needs to bring forth a mighty oak, we too are hard wired with all we have need of. An acorn grows and develops and is influenced by the environment it is in. In other words it evolves through its various stages until full growth is realized.

We as humans have been given dominion over our thoughts and thus our lives. What we choose to think and do influences and out pictures in the events we experience. Spiritually evolved people have certain traits or habits that bring about their evolution on a fast-track basis. Among those traits and habits we find they give thanks and express gratitude for all the many

gifts life is continually giving. Speaking of giving, evolved people give without an agenda. Evolved people rush to forgive and do so with regularity of themselves and others. Celebrating life in all its many forms brings joy to an evolved person. Evolved people take time apart from worldly activities and value down time. Through all these processes and habits, the evolved person leans on their innate spiritual Self for consistent guidance and direction.

Will you make the choice to become an evolved person by consciously choosing and performing these practices? Each day is new; each moment is available to lean on our Higher Self within so that we give and forgive and express gratitude for this life we have to live.

Say with me: “I am so very grateful to know God has equipped me with all I have need of. I give from my fullness without agenda and I celebrate each and every moment of my glorious life. And it is so.”
