The ribbon cutting for the new Pine Valley Sheriff’s Substation was on Friday, June 6th, welcoming Sheriff Gore, and Supervisor Dianne Jacob.
Last year, County Supervisors unanimously voted to approve building the new $3.3 million sheriff’s substation in Pine Valley just east of the Pine Valley County Park. This new station has long been a top priority for the community, and the building has added so much to the community.

The ribbon cutting for the new Pine Valley Sheriff’s Substation was on Friday, June 6th, welcoming Sheriff Gore, and Supervisor Dianne Jacob.
Last year, County Supervisors unanimously voted to approve building the new $3.3 million sheriff’s substation in Pine Valley just east of the Pine Valley County Park. This new station has long been a top priority for the community, and the building has added so much to the community.
The substation is 4,100 square feet in size, and is able to accommodate approximately nine sheriff deputies, as well as meeting rooms, and space that can be shared by California Highway Patrol and the Federal Bureau of Land Management. It also accommodates members of the Senior Volunteer Patrol Program.
The Deputies that are stationed in Pine Valley are responsible for patrolling Pine Valley, Boulevard, Descanso, Guatay, Jacumba and Mount Laguna.
This station signifies the completion of a project that the County of San Diego has had on the planning board since 1999. Construction began in the spring of 2013, and was completed in the late spring of 2014.
After speeches made by Supervisor Jacobs, and Sheriff Gore, as well as a brief speech from the building contractor, cake was served in celebration of the event.
