Comprehensive Medicine California Urgent Care has a supply of COVID-19 vaccines available here in Alpine.
Part-owner Brian Peterson said they have been given a steady supply for patients and, while “about half the community of Alpine comes to us for urgent care needs” they decided to open up vaccinations to the entire community.
Although they primarily provide care on a walk-in basis, he said, all ten doses available in one bottle of the COVID vaccine must be used within six hours of being opened so scheduling appointments makes more sense in this particular situation.
“We would like people to give us a call so we can schedule them in and make full use of a vaccine bottle,” Peterson said.
Getting the vaccination requires patients to fill out a health questionnaire with basic information and might come with a low cost to new patients as the facility is not a vaccination center.
At this time, Peterson said, they are only vaccinating people over the age of 18.
