Students from Alpine visited Washington D.C. earlier this year to participate in a wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery. From left to right are Patricia Latorrez, Kyra Jacobs, Troy Hagenan and Abigail Currie. In an essay Abigail wrote, in part,:
“I would love the opportunity to take part in this ceremony for many reasons. One being that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Another reason being that I want to continue this tradition of honoring the lives of those that served in the military. Laying a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Solider is a ceremony marked with so much tradition and military precision.”
