Father’s Day is this Sunday; a day to honor fathers past and present. There’s none other like a father’s love and so this Sunday kindly remember and if at all possible, show your love and respect for your father for without him you would not be on this earth plane.
Throughout the Bible references are made of God as Father. We of course know God is beyond the human designations of male or female, yet in our humanness it is comforting to think of God as Father.
Father Knows Best was a popular TV show back when I was growing up. The typical story involved some sort of drama that in the end was always rectified by father’s wisdom. We have a heavenly Father that always “knows best”. Our heavenly Father has provided for all our needs; His will is always for the highest and best. But just like the prodigal son, most of us must “leave home” in order to wake up to what we’ve had all along.
This time in history is a trying one – one of change without a doubt. Society is going through what might be termed “growing pains”. Don’t you think it would behoove us all to remember to remember that “Father knows best”? In order to know our Father’s will, we must turn in His direction. We must recognize it is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the kingdom. We are living in and among It now.
Open your mind and heart to seek the kingdom which is right here. Recognize and acknowledge that we are ALL sons and daughters of the one heavenly Father and thus ALL are heirs to the kingdom.
Say with me: “I am grateful for my earthly father this day and honor him for all he has given me. I am eternally grateful for my heavenly Father that provides for my every need. God is good; Life is good; and I am open and receptive to allowing this good to easily flow through my life this day. And it is so.”
