Thought for the Week: Get ready

Spring is in the air and so for the month of April I’ve chosen the Theme of “Spring Forth” with this Sunday’s topic “Get Ready.” Getting ready for Spring has a multitude of connotations. For whatever reason Spring is the time to clean up, spruce up and let go of those things we’ve held on to longer than their allotted time and energy deserve.

After the blessed rains, it’s time to pull out and cut down the weeds in the yard. After hunkering down through the winter, it’s time to clear the space in our homes and do some Spring cleaning. But more importantly, besides focusing on our environment, now is the time to clean up our act from within as well.

As the earth warms producing new life, we too feel the pull to make a fresh start, once again, of letting go of the past so we are available to move forward in Life. It’s important to learn from our past so we don’t continue to make the same mistakes over and over. Remember the words of Jesus as he instructed us to “Go and sin no more.” We “sin” when we “miss the mark.”

Life is a continual learning game that requires us to dive deep within ourselves to find the sacred guide within. The instruction manual comes to us as we read sacred texts and follow the wisdom and guidance therein. It takes time and intention to ready ourselves with expectancy of letting and allowing the light of Love to lead us into new and uncharted territories. Begin today, right now, to spring forth into the greatness that awaits your recognition of it.

Say with me: “I am ready to spring forth into a greater Good than I have ever experienced. I do this by letting go of the past and embracing the present moment with Love, Joy, and eagerness. I am ever so grateful! And it is so.”
