Recently the Alpine View Lodge witnessed acts of caring, love, sacrifice and sharing of time and talents that represents the real spirit of the season. Our elders were visited by the members of Kingdom Quilters. This organization originated on April of 2016 by Kim Ruby. Kim faced a personal health challenge and was so touched by the gift of a handmade quilt with messages of love, hope and prayer.Through her church, Foothills Christian Church in El Cajon, she began her outreach programs. She was joined by a throng of like-minded and committed volunteers who have made Kingdom Quilters into an organization that travels to far flung corners reaching out to those in need. Painting hospitals, providing basic necessities and their beautiful quilts all fall under their caring hands.
