Volunteers are needed for a work day this Saturday, Feb. 9, at Wright’s Field in Alpine!

Heavy rainfall postponed the trail work and native plant restoration originally planned for last weekend.

The Back Country Land Trust (BCLT) is now asking volunteers to meet at 9 a.m. this Saturday at the trailhead. It’s behind Joan MacQueen Middle School at 1951 Tavern Road. The work ends at noon.

All volunteer hours may be certified for community service and student school requirements.

BCLT can also use help at a Valentine’s Day Planting Event scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 14, at the Alpine Community Center, 1830 Alpine Blvd..

Volunteers will meet at 11 a.m. at the center at 1830 Alpine Blvd.

To participate or for more information, call (619) 504-8181 or visit www.backcountrylandtrust.org.
