Detectives with the Santee Sheriff’s Station want your help in identifying and locating a man suspected in a robbery and assault with a deadly weapon case.
It happened around 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10th near the 8700 block of Mesa Road. An 18-year-old woman was walking down the street when she was approached by a man driving a white truck.

Detectives with the Santee Sheriff’s Station want your help in identifying and locating a man suspected in a robbery and assault with a deadly weapon case.
It happened around 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10th near the 8700 block of Mesa Road. An 18-year-old woman was walking down the street when she was approached by a man driving a white truck.
The driver, described as a white man between 40 and 50 years old with a goatee, began making comments about the woman’s sexuality. That’s when she approached the truck and started video recording the man with her cell phone.
The man then grabbed the woman’s arm and phone, pulling her partially into the window of the truck. He then started driving off, dragging the woman several feet along the street.
At one point, the man stopped his truck, causing the woman to fall to the ground. Before he drove off, the suspect threw the victim’s cell phone at her, hitting her in the head. She suffered cuts and bruises to her body.
Take a good look at these images the victim took of the suspect with her cell phone. He is believed to be driving a two-door Ford Ranger truck with a ladder on top. The truck also has small purple stripes running the length of the sides. It is possible the suspect lives in the area near Mesa Road and Prospect Avenue in Santee.
