Hospitality veteran joins Jamul’s team

Jamul Casino announce that hospitality expert Tom Malloy has joined its team as vice president of Marketing. With more than 30 years of hospitality experience, Malloy will oversee all aspects of the Jamul Casino marketing identity, focusing on top-level strategic development that “echoes the tribes” primary goals of community involvement and guest expansion, especially with the highly anticipated hotel tower opening in 2025.

“All of us here at Jamul are delighted to welcome Tom as our new vice president of Marketing,” said President & General Manager of Jamul Casino Mary Cheeks in a press release. “His vast experience and innovative approach will bring dynamic new strategies to our marketing efforts surrounding the casino as well as the opening of our new, luxury hotel tower in 2025.”

Malloy said he is excited to join “such an esteemed and highly regarded team of operators.”

“I’m grateful to both tribal leadership and to Mary Cheeks for giving me this opportunity,” stated Malloy.

For over three decades, Malloy has directed a variety of companies in their intentional and strategic marketing approaches including new programs and overseeing player outreach and revenue generation, to social media and website development. He began his career as an advertising agency executive, focusing on technology and healthcare before entering the gaming industry in 1998 as director of the Gaming Division at R&R Partners in Las Vegas. Since 2000, Malloy has acted as an internal marketing leader for several casinos, both tribal and commercial, across the country, including MGM Resorts International, Table Mountain Casino and Potawatomi Casino Hotel. Having excelled in a wide variety of roles, Malloy most recently served as vice president of Marketing at Gun Lake Casino in Wayland, Michigan.
