Our very own AYSO Mountain Empire Boys U10 soccer team from Region 11 won 1st place in ALL of San Diego County (out of approx. 450 teams!), and placed 2nd in all of Southern Orange, San Diego and Imperial Counties(out of at least 750 teams!) when they played in the AYSO Region 11 Tournament on Sunday, Feb 15 & 16, 2015 in Garden Grove, CA.

Best we can tell, Mountain Empire hasn’t advanced to this level in 14 years!We would love it if you could recognize these young boys for their amazing accomplishment!The region made an announcement that it was unheard of that our small community team (Mountain Empire consists of Pine Valley, Descanso, Campo, Boulevard, Potrero, and Jacumba)could compete against the pool of athletes available in the larger cities and place so high. They added that until that weekend, no one had heard of Mountain Empire…but now they know who we are! (Had they won 1st place, they would’ve competed against all of California, Nevada and Arizona! This is big!)
