Authorities are investigating a report of a man who allegedly photographed a 34-year-old woman who was shopping at a local store in January.
Alpine resident Francisca Beauton said she told Alpine sheriff’s deputies that an unidentified man took pictures of her while she was trying on clothing in the dressing room of the Alpine Goodwill store on Alpine Boulevard at approximately 1:20 p.m. on Jan. 25.
Beauton said she saw the man’s arm reach under the door of the dressing room with the camera application open on his cell phone. She posted about the event on social media.
“I originally just put out a post on Facebook, but I think it would be good for people who aren’t online or don’t use Facebook to know about this situation,” said Beauton, who has lived in the community for slightly more than four years. “I love Alpine and want our community to stay safe.”
Sheriff’s deputy Sgt. Kelly Moody said law enforcement was aware of the incident.
“We have contacted similar businesses in the area and shared photographs of the suspect,” Moody said.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Alpine Sheriff’s Station at (619) 659-2600.
