On July 17 the San Diego County News Center announced that the community of Borrego Springs is now served by San Diego County Fire through its partnership with CAL Fire, that increased its staff to expand its services to the area. County Fire and CAL FIRE welcomed 14 members of the Borrego Springs Fire Protection District to the team. County Fire recognizes the fire protection legacy of the district and looks forward to working together to serve the Borrego Springs community.
Borrego Springs Fire Station 60 will remain an Advanced Life Support Station and added resources will strengthen the ability to respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of those in the community.
