David Edick has withdrawn from the campaign for the 50th Congressional district. The businessman was running as an Independent in a race that has seen seventeen candidates vying for the seat previously held by Duncan Hunter.
The latest candidate to throw his hat in the ring is Nathan Wilkins, a former Coronado-based Navy Seal running on the Republican platform. In a Jan. 13 press release, Wilkins said he is “running to defend the Constitution of the United States and the Judeo-Christian values this country was built on”.
He is transitioning off active duty and into a role with the Congressional Innovational Fellowship.
