Exotic Birds visit the Alpine Library

The Alpine Library hosted a Summer Reading program on Saturday, June 28, featuring exotic birds from around the world. We learned that different birds eat different things—one bird drank apple juice, some ate nuts, and some ate baby mice. The birds who visited us are as intelligent as dogs & cats! After Gretchen taught us about the various kinds of birds she brought (including a very loud laughing kookaburra!), everyone was invited to pet, feed and handle these beautiful, tame birds. All ages enjoyed this delightful program.
