As the holiday season apÂproaches, we’ve got a variety of exciting events planned for November, perfect for all ages!
For our teens and adults (ages 13+), join us on SaturÂday, Nov. 9, from 10:30 a.m. – noon for Thanksgiving Crafts! You’ll get hands-on with two fun projects: creating pumpkin pie bunting and a charming small turkey decoration. Later in the month, don’t miss our Chinese Brush Painting Workshop on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. where instrucÂtors from the Chinese Brush Painting Society of San Diego will guide you through crafting your own panda and bamboo painting. Both events require registration at sdcl.org/alpine.
For writers of all levels, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced storyteller, we have our Writers’ Workshop on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. – noon. This is a supportÂive space to share your work, receive feedback, and connect with fellow writers. Bring your own snacks!
We’ve also got some fun lined up for our younger patrons. On Tuesday, Nov. 5, and Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 4 – 5 p.m., kids can participate in Paws for Reading, where they can read aloud to a certified therapy dog. Sign up for a 10-minute readÂing session starting 15 minutes before the event.
For the LEGO fans out there, our Lego Club is happening on Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. This is a great time for kids ages 5 and up to unÂleash their creativity and build whatever their imagination dreams up.
And don’t forget to bring the whole family to our Bilingual Storytime on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 10:30 a.m. We’ll enjoy songs, books, and rhymes in both EngÂlish and Spanish. ¡AcompáñeÂnos y disfrute de esta divertida hora de cuentos para todas las edades!
