On 4-11, at its regularly scheduled Kiwanis meeting, The Kiwanis Club of Alpine held it’s annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. The meeting is held at The Alpine Elementary School Auditorium, 1850 Alpine Blvd. The meeting was attended by three Local Law Enforcement Agencies, California Highway Patrol, U.S. Border Patrol and The Alpine Sheriff’s Office. Representing the Agencies was C.H.P. Sergeant Damion Budwine, U.S. Border Patrol, Deputy Patrol Agent in charge, Richard A.
On 4-11, at its regularly scheduled Kiwanis meeting, The Kiwanis Club of Alpine held it’s annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. The meeting is held at The Alpine Elementary School Auditorium, 1850 Alpine Blvd. The meeting was attended by three Local Law Enforcement Agencies, California Highway Patrol, U.S. Border Patrol and The Alpine Sheriff’s Office. Representing the Agencies was C.H.P. Sergeant Damion Budwine, U.S. Border Patrol, Deputy Patrol Agent in charge, Richard A. Gordon and The San County Sheriff’s Office, Sergeant Chris Cross. All of the above supervisors had chosen their recipient for their outstanding service. The Supervisors read their respective recipients qualifications for the Award, and they were quite impressive.
Once each Supervisor had finished, The recipient stepped forward and The Honorable Duncan Hunter presented them with a certificate thanking them for their outstanding service. Next a representative from Senator Joel Anderson’s Office, Stephanie Lawless presented a certificate to the recipient. The President of The Kiwanis Club of Alpine, Greg Fox then presented a beautiful oak plaque to the recipient. Each recipient was given a standing ovation by all of the Kiwanis members and their guests.
The following Law Enforcement personnel were honored by the Kiwanis Club and the visiting dignitaries:
Officer Paul J. Anzalone, C.H.P. , U.S. Border Patrol Agent Michael Sablan and Deputy Wesley A. Manning, Alpine Sheriff’s Station.
President Fox closed the meeting, with these words, “ Honoring these fine Law Enforcement personnel is just a token of our appreciation for the exceptional service that you have rendered to the community of Alpine and the surrounding East County”.
