McDonald’s biggest fan, Jenson Shoah was the very first customer served at the new Alpine McDonalds, when they opened for business on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. The line outside the door was growing every minute with customers who wanted to experience Alpine history when the doors opened for this iconic restaurant.

Jenson has watched the McDonalds from the moment they first broke ground and has waited with baited breath for the time they opened their doors for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Jenson’s mom let him stay home from school for this very memorable event, and even though he was on crutches, with his leg in a cast, he was so excited to make that first order.
When asked what he was going to order, Jenson promptly replied, “I’m going to order breakfast and lunch! I’m getting a McGriddle and hash browns, and then I’m going to get a 20 piece Chicken McNuggets!” When we asked him what kind of sauce he wanted with that he said, “Ranch dressing. I like ranch dressing best, but sweet and sour sauce is good sometimes too!”
Jenson agrees that the McDonald’s constructions was fast but he said, “It wasn’t fast enough for me. It felt like it took forever!” Jenson is looking forward to coming back tonight for dinner too, where he says that he’s ordering Chicken McNuggets again.
Other Alpiners in line started to pour in ordering menu items that had clicked over to the lunch menu at 11:00 a.m. The restaurant was full with happy customers, and the owner, Phillip Palumbo was happy to see Alpine’s enthusiasm.
McDonalds is having their grand opening on Saturday, September 29 for all of Alpine to attend. Come and check out the friendliest McDonalds staff in town!
