Thought for the Week: Power of eight

We have a guest speaker this Sunday at Alpine Church of Spiritual Living, Rev. Dr. Lori McMacken speaking on The Power of Eight, based on the book by Lynne Mc-Taggart thus entitled. A significant quote from the book is “The story is about the miraculous power you hold inside of you to heal your own life. Which gets unleashed ironically the moment you stop thinking about yourself.” There is a unifying power and presence, a creative force and energy that is going about Its business in magnificent and holy ways. This power and presence is fully present at all times in and through everything and everyone. Nothing is outside Its radiating energy force.

Each of us has the ability to align ourselves intentionally with this creative energy and when we do, we experience what may be called magic and miracles. Time and again, when a group sets its intention for the healing of another, this miraculous power is activated. It begins with sensing our oneness. It begins with sensing the unity of all creation and then having a deep and abiding reliance upon perfect, right and divine outcomes. Knowing what we want to experience in our lives, sharing that intent with others and having them hold that vision in consciousness brings forth miraculous results. As Emerson wrote, “Get your bloated nothingness out of the way of the divine circuits.” and see what happens. When we intentionally pray for others, healings occur on many levels.

Say with me: “I feel the oneness with all and declare magnificent miracles do and are coming forth. God is good and I am grateful. And it is so.”
