The Alpine Library hosted the annual Children’s Choir Holiday Concert on Thursday, December 6. Over 90 people packed into the building to hear fun-loving songs such as “Hot Chocolate,” “How to Sing a Round,” and a song about The Grinch. Director Jackie Abernathy and Assistant Director Lahren Rogers expertly kept the kids in sync as they sang multi-part arrangements accompanied by a boom box. Two different youth choirs came together for the performance: The Santee-based East County Children’s Choir, and Alpine’s own Community Youth Choir. For information on how your child can get involved, please call Jackie Abernathy at 619-449-8589.
