Lions Tigers & Bears celebrated their Wild in the Country by inviting all to “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” on May 10th from 3 – 7.  After all, Dorothy’s famous quote, “Lions and tigers, and bears! Oh, my!” is the moniker of this non-profit  exotic animal sanctuary and rescue.
Lions Tigers & Bears is dedicated to providing a safe haven for unwanted and abused exotic animals and educating the public about the abuses of the exotic-animal trade.  So often people believe that the cubs of these beautiful animals are so inviting, because they look so precious, and they are terrible cuddle as babies, but as they grow, they grow into the wild animals that nature intended them to be.  They are not domestic, nor are they able to truly domesticate, in the sense of becoming a loyal pet.  These animals usually grow into large and often dangerous creatures that belong in their own habitat, and not in a person’s home.
Lions Tigers and Bears is home to rescued lions, tigers, mountain lions, bob cats, a serval, a leopard, bears and several domestic animals.
