Thought for the Week: The urge to be

The Indwelling Divine Presence that has been our theme this month, is the holy truth that all, whether conscious of it or not, are yearning to discover and live from. This Divine Presence is pure, whole, accepting and rejoicing at all times, in all places, regardless of circumstances or conditions. Wouldn’t it be lovely if we could actually experience Its beautiful energy on a first-hand basis? We can, though in my opinion, it takes deliberate steps and desire to accomplish.

One of the first steps to entice our pure holy Self to come out and play, is that we can become aware of our deeply hidden fears and insecurities. Many of us are driven by indwelling thoughts and emotions of inadequacy and judgement of self and others that cause us to react and respond from our small egoic self.

When we can investigate the motivation behind our knee-jerk reactions, we can notice them and realize we are responding from a sense of fear and then allow that fear to dissipate or simply let it go, so that we are then available to bring forth the Love eternally residing within us. “As within, so without.” The more we ferret out the small self the more Life’s conditions will reflect back to us the Divine Self that we are bringing forth.

There’s are sayings that goes, “Would you rather be right or be at peace?” “I can choose this, or peace.” I believe we all have within us the inner urge to Be – to Be the living, breathing entity of the Divine. There’s a song that was played at the end of the movie, “Big” that Tom Hanks starred in several years ago which lyrics went: “It’s in every one of us to be free. Find yourself, open your eyes and see. We can all have everything without ever knowing how. It’s in every one of us here and now.” Do some deep investigation into your inner Self – find It and let it out!

Say with me: “I am willing to shed the cloak hiding my true inner Light of Love, Joy and Peace. I let go of fears and step into Life with trust, faith and confidence. I am at peace. And it is so.”
